Laguna Phuket launch first hotel-based PCR test centre for Phuket Sandbox

Laguna Phuket, a 1,000-acre tropical parkland and beachfront resort on Phuket’s west coast, has partnered with Bangkok Hospital Phuket to open the first hotel-based PCR screening center for Phuket Sandbox arrivals, as part of its attempts to safely resume Thailand’s tourism business.

The “Pearl of the Andaman” is getting ready to welcome back fully-vaccinated guests from all over the world, according to the Royal Thai Government’s Phuket Sandbox program, which is set to begin on July 1, 2021. All inbound passengers will be required to undergo a PCR test upon arrival at Phuket International Airport, as well as on the sixth and 12th days of their stay, to ensure the safety of tourists and local people.

The PCR test center, which will open on July 1, is located in Canal Village, a shopping district in the heart of Laguna Phuket with over 30 retailers. It’s just a few steps away from the existing BDMS Clinic and is run by Bangkok Hospital Phuket’s highly educated medical staff.

“For the Phuket Sandbox program, Laguna Phuket is the ideal location.
